Testimonials

To say my expectations were surpassed is an understatement. St Margaret's College comprehensively fulfilled and exceeded its' mission statement and provided excellence in university accommodation. The college is characterised by a respectful, nurturing, and supportive environment that offers a myriad of enrichment activities to enhance the students’ physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Further complementing this is the college student body that consists of young women of marked integrity and outstanding moral fibre that proudly and actively uphold the values of the College. Succinctly, your daughter will flourish in the unique environment that is St Margaret's College. With a strong support network and access to women working and succeeding in her field, she will be able to imagine the heights to which she can soar. I have no hesitation in recommending St Margaret's College and regard it as a centre of excellence; one that other residential colleges can only aspire to.

Our daughter was moving to Brisbane from a regional centre to attend university to study Bachelor of Occupational Therapy – a daunting experience! We wanted to find somewhere where she would be supported, encouraged and challenged to take on new experiences. We found this in St Margaret’s College. With a maximum of just 25 residents, the College allows each resident to be individually nurtured and supported as an individual. Recently the College arranged an Occupational Therapy Networking Dinner where our Daughter emceed the night. She was able to network with OT experts and students from all over South East Queensland. What a fantastic opportunity for a first year University student. The College is unique in offering such experiences to its residents. The College Director is very approachable and always available to listen and respond to the needs of each resident. This puts our mind at ease, knowing that our Daughter is in good hands. We would recommend St Margaret’s College to any young girls moving to Brisbane to undertake tertiary students – from our experience they would not be disappointed.

As parents it was not easy seeing our daughter leave home for the first time to continue her studies in Brisbane. Her moving to St Margaret’s College was a very big decision for us, however our concerns and uncertainties immediately turned into feelings of relief when we first met Kylie Armstrong, the College Director. She not only assured us our daughter would be well looked after, but any issues during her settling into the college life would be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our daughter has not only settled well into the college, but is making good progress with her studies at the Queensland University of Technology doing a Bachelor of Vision Science/Masters of Optometry.
